Half Maine lobster stuffed with buttery  cracker crumbs, herbs and lump lobster meat, baked golden and drizzled with a rich seafood sherry sauce, served with roasted spring vegetables.

Cornish Cream Tea

Served Daily 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.

A cream tea, Devonshire or Cornish, is tea taken with a combination of scones, clotted cream and jam (or jelly, as it is known on this side of the pond). The scone is split in two, each half is covered with clotted cream, and then the strawberry jam goes on top. Traditionally, teas in Cornwall favored sweet white bread roll smothered in a layer of butter, before adding the jam and cream, but both styles of cream tea are typical of the two south western counties of England from which the names derive.

So, why serve Cornish Cream Tea at Vanderbilt Hall, we hear you ask? Well, we thought we would play on words.
